Due to the rise of the Omicron variant, on 21 December 2021, the Government announced that a further £102 million would be made available for Local Authorities, through a top-up to the Additional Restrictions Grant: Additional Restrictions Grant announcement
This additional funding means that the Addtional Restrictions Grant is available to local businesses - particularly those that do not qualify for the Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant, including those businesses that do not have a business rate liability.
This form is also open to Taxi drivers. Please indicate in the further details box that you are a taxi driver to stop your application being rejected.
We require up to date information so you must complete a new form (even if you completed one in the past) and provide us with up to date proofs.
How much funding will be provided?
Payments will reflect the awards of the Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant. Non rated businesses and those with a rateable value (RV) of £15,000 or less will receive up to £2,667. Businesses with an RV of between £15,001 and £50,999 will receive £4,000 and businesses with an RV of £51,000 or over will receive £6,000.
Taxi drivers will be awarded £500.
This form is provided to capture the information required by the council to verify and make payment of the grant.
What happens next?
All applications will be validated and subject to a number of pre-payment checks before a determination is made as to whether the business is eligible for a grant and how much. Payment will be made as soon as practical after the assessment has been made.
