On 21 December 2021, Government announced the introduction of grant support for hospitality and leisure businesses in England. This support will take the form of a one off grant funding scheme. The scheme is called Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant.
Under the Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant scheme, Local Authorities will receive funding to be allocated in one-off grants to businesses. Grants of up to £6,000 will be paid. For details on entitlement please go to our website www.hertsmere.gov.uk.
This form is provided to capture the information required by the council to verify and make the payment of these grants. Where a grant is issued, the business, that according to the Council's records was the ratepayer in respect of the hereditament on 30th December 2021 is eligible to receive the grant. Where the Council has reason to believe that the information that we hold about the ratepayer is inaccurate we may withhold or recover the grant.
You will need to have your rate account reference and the exact name of the business as it appears on your recent bill. We will ask for additional business information before the grant is paid and we will need proof of your bank account details. Payments will be made by BACS to your business account. All businesses must have been trading on the 30th December 2021 and the form will require each business to self certify that they meet all the eligibility criteria.
